10 activities to do in Door County, WI

Enjoying the first day in Door County!

A couple of weeks ago, my family and I did our annual July family vacation to honor the memory of my father. This year we decided to go to Door County. You know wine, peninsula, and the lake. What could be better?! That was the same thought I had! After that much needed time away, I have compiled 10 things you either need to see, do, visit, or experience!

Let's get started!

1. Newpoint state park

  • Go late at night as it is one of 53 International Dark Sky Parks. You can see the Milkyway, go late and bring bug spray!

2. Washington Island

  • So much to do on the Island!! Lavander fields, Rock Beaches, Lookouts, and old churches!
On the Ferry to Washington Island!

3. Eat at a Fish Boil

  • Rowleys Bay Restaurant! The stories and experience were one for the books!

4. The Hardy Gallery

  • Graffiti Building in Ephraim!
The Gallary!

5. Winery tour!!

  • Door 44
  • Habor Ridge Winery
  • Lautenbach's Orchard County
  • Simon Creek Vineyard & Winery
  • Door Peninsula

6. Peninsula State Park

  • Eagle Bluff Lighthouse
  • Drive the whole peninsula!!

7. All the small towns!

  • Fish Creek
  • Ephraim
  • Baileys Harbor
  • Egg Harbor
  • Ellison Bay
  • Sisters Bay

8. Cherry Picking

  • Cherries were everywhere! The cherries are for baking not eating necessarily!

9. Potawatomi State Park

  • We camped in this park, it was beautiful and extremely peaceful!

10. Enjoy the wonderful place that is Door County!

  • Door County is the most adorable little slice of Wisconsin that everyone could love! Pick a town on the peninsula, you will not be disappointed!
